Term 3 - The Digestive System

Open wide – let’s look inside. We are on voyage of discovery to investigate the busy world inside your body

Building on from the knowledge of muscles and skeletons in year 3, children will investigate the function of the digestive system. Through a series of experiments including looking at the effects of drinks on their teeth, making poo and the embarrassing consequences of drinking fizzy drinks children will gain a fascinating insight into bodily functions.

All of this will enable the children to gain a greater understanding of how the human body works and have an unforgettable journey which will help them to create a digestive system marble run using skills associated with technology and science.
