Science

At St Peter's our vision is to provide a rich variety of scientific opportunities that inspire and engage all children so that they have the opportunity to learn whilst having fun and developing their science capital.

To achieve this, we allow our teaching of science to be fluid and actively encourage children to ask questions and create opportunities for them to be answered through their own enquiries. We actively encourage the children to question, debate and challenge each other, to celebrate mistakes, as we know they help us to become better scientists. We have a hands on approach that encourages curiosity and questioning linking to the real world which makes the science the children are learning meaningful and prepares them for later in life.

We believe our hands on, vibrant curriculum will be better remembered by our children and that these opportunities will ensure that our children are confident, life-long learners who will explore the world around them.
