Science Week

St Peter's celebrated their science week this week with the theme of 'growth'

All children took part in activities related to this theme including; calculating the age of a shark, taking cuttings to help grow more plants, answering the question do all our body parts grow as we get older and many more! We also welcomed 18 STEM ambassadors from a range of backgrounds including research scientists, high voltage electrical engineers, forensic scientists and even a MaClaren F1 reliability engineer to join us for 'lunch with a scientist'. The ambassadors discussed their roles, explained how they got involved and spoke about how science fits into their job. All children were inspired and asked excellent questions to further their understandings.
