Primary Quality Science Mark

St. Peter's  is one of the 155 schools in England taking part in the evaluation of the Primary Quality Science Mark (PSQM) randomised control trial (RCT).

PSQM aims to improve science education in primary schools through providing teachers and school science leaders with a framework for self-assessment, reflection and development as well as relevant training.

The intervention is implemented by the University of Hertfordshire. RAND Europe has been commissioned to conduct an independent evaluation of this intervention. The aim of this evaluation is to understand the effects of PSQM on science attainment. The evaluation is funded by the Education Endowment Foundation (EEF), an independent charity who fund research into ‘what works’ in improving educational practice.
