Term 6 - Mighty Mountains
Climbing a mountain is an exciting adventure! We are going up in the world where we will visit the hills and ‘mountains’ of Broadstairs.
Using their map skills, children will identify the mountain ranges of the world. They will gain an understanding of the different types of mountains there are and how they are formed through the use of drama and digit media. Following on from year 3, children will develop their understanding of volcanoes and explore the reasons why people live close to them.
All of this will enable the children to think about their personal ‘mountains’ what are our goals and how will we achieve them?
