Term 4 - Awesome Anglo-Saxons
Ssh… What’s that noise? Is it a bash, a crash, a shake or a hum? Sound is all around us – where did it come from? How is it made? Can it be changed?
Starting a with a trip to a local recording studio, children will gain an insight into the importance of sound and how it enhances our lives. Children will explore the importance of fair testing and gain experience in the use of data loggers to measure sound. They will set up simple practical enquires enabling them to make systematic and careful observations. Children will listen to a daily song that will widen their musical experiences enabling them to appreciate music from different decades.
All of this will enable the children to understand how music has the power to change our emotion, make us think and inspire us to dance. Who will win the battle of the bands?
